    Legacy

This morning as I was checking my social media pages, I saw a post I posted a few years back honoring my grandmother on her birthday. As I went on through the day, I wondered what would I post on Bridgette Breaking Barriers. I was scheduled to post something today, but I had nothing. I started writing a couple of posts, but nothing worked out. I later noticed a Facebook post by my aunt honoring my grandmother. Today, would have been her 99th birthday. Can I have a truth moment? After my recent interview (if you havenā€™t seen it yet, check it out here), I began to question if I was living my truth. Itā€™s one thing to encourage others to do right, but itā€™s another thing to live it yourself (I told you all from the start, Iā€™m not there yet, LOL). I had a conversation with a friend about my feelings, he reminded me that breaking barriers is not an arrival, but a continued journey and that I was speaking life (positivity). You wonā€™t always get it right, you wonā€™t always rise to the occasion, but you will continue to move forward…
