Breaking Barriers

Chapter 35 Reset!

I’m a big birthday person, I’m usually excited about my birthday coming, whether I have plans or not, I get excited about my special day. For the past few months, I had been struggling with my Birthday approaching, not because of my age, which by the way I still can’t believe I’m this old, lol, but I was feeling a way about where I was in life. You know as many of us did while we were younger, we planned out what our lives would be, whether you desired to have your 2.5 children with a picket fence living the great American dream or perhaps traveling the world, we all had anticipations of what our life would be. I had begun to feel as though I was stagnant in life, not really progressing. But as time grew closer to my birthday, I began to focus on the things I was so blessed to have and not the things I desired and wish. The more I did this, the more grateful I became.

This past weekend, I was honored to attend my church’s women’s conference, Reset. During the conference we had several speakers talk about resetting our lives, from resetting our health to resetting our friendships to resetting our mindset; it was all great and very timely for me. After this weekend and being blessed to have so many wonderful people in my life to speak into me, cheer me on, and push me to be my best self, I’m walking into this year with great expectation, vision, and plans for God’s best for me. No more living beneath where I’m destined to be. We all need a reset from time to time, have you reset yet? I have and now I’m grateful for this next year and all it will bring. It’s time to go to the next level and break even more barriers. Are you with me? So, hello Chapter 36! I’m ready for you!! Be on the look out for more things from me and #BridgetteBreakingBarriers in the near future.
