This morning I had the opportunity to watch/listen to the sermon of the #royalwedding, and oh what a treat it was. The Most Rev. Michael Bruce Curry reminded us of the power of love! Scripture tells us, “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres (1 Corinthians 13:4-7 NIV).” If we all walked in love what would this world be like. The many sad stories in the news would no longer exist, we would actually love our neighbors and most importantly, God.
Each day is an opportunity for us to show love, be love, and express love. How will you walk in love today? Will you give to the homeless man on the corner, call a family member that you haven’t heard from in a while and say hello, how are you, maybe you’ll encourage someone that is going through a hard time, or just a simple smile? However you choose to show love is up to you, but the main thing is to show love. There is power in love!
