Single, Not Desperate!!

Why is that people feel that just because you are single (not married), you are desperate to be with anyone. My standards still apply! In the words of my mom, “I can do bad all by myself.” I believe in waiting on God. Yes, compromise is essential but the standards do not change. We all have our list of non-negotiables, relationship with God, kind, look-able (lol), good with kids, etc. We all desire our knight and shining armor, but that does not mean he won’t have some issues. I have issues! No one is perfect, but standards are still necessary. How do you know if your standards go too far? It’s all about seeking God. He will guide the way. I’m thankful for a relationship with the God, he knows what’s best for me. The key is allowing Him to lead the way, not doing what you want, then asking him to bless it. Have standards, be patient, and trust God! This can apply to other things beyond singlehood as well 😉.
