I was listening to the radio this morning and they were talking about the impact of Dr. King and what he’s done for us as a country and even the world. His dream for us to be treated equally pushed us all and reminded us that what we do does matter. I began to think to myself, how am I making an impact. While everyone can’t be a Dr. King, Rosa Parks, or Oprah, we can all do something. We have to recognize that while some are made to do grand things, it is the small things we do that matters most. Currently, I’m going through a transition period and because of that, I’ve been struggling with questions of why, when, and how? At church on Sunday, I was reminded of Mary, the mother of Jesus and her willingness to be a servant of God. Mary was chosen to bring Jesus into the world. She was a virgin engaged to be married to Joseph. She could have been stoned or even loss her soon to be husband, and what would people think of her? Be Bold, Be Brave
So, today has been an interesting day for me. The resounding theme that kept coming up for me is to keep pushing, keep going. I’m not sure about you, but for me, I often have feelings of defeat and fear. Sometimes they get the best of me, but many times I push myself to do whatever it is to overcome my fears or anxieties. Last week I had the opportunity to travel to Dubai in the UAE. If I had to describe my experience in one word it would probably be, breathtaking . With each moment, each experience I was blown away that I was even able to experience it.
