This past weekend, I had the pleasure of celebrating the legacy of my grandparents with my cousins. Last week, my grandparents would have been turned 100 years old and in honor of their legacy, we created a documentary spotlighting each of them. It was a wonderful experience; I was able to learn so much about them through the stories of others. Why was that so big for me you ask? Because I never got a chance to meet my grandparents, any of them, not on my mother’s side or my father’s side. All were deceased by the time I was born, so for me all I have are the stories…

Things Aren’t Always What They Seem…
Have you ever wanted something so bad, but then you got it and realized it wasn’t all that great? I’ve been there too. Everyone desires something, the single person desires marriage, the married person desires being understood, have children or even to be single (lol, a little humor). Sometimes when we are struggling with things in our lives we forget about others. Who Runs This Show?
When I was in college our Madame President (as we called her), would remind us of our power when she would address the school, by asking the question, “Who Runs This Show,” our response, “We Run This Show.” The chant would go a couple times, the energy that came from this chant left us with a sense of pride and respect, we could conquer the world! Just a few days ago I learned of the passing of a college classmate and friend. The news was shocking and it hurt so bad. I'm sure everyone asked questions like, why, how, what?
