The holidays sometimes can be a stressful time. With the hustle and bustle of holiday parties, shopping for gifts, etc, etc, it can be a difficult and even perhaps stressful time for some. While many times the focus during this time of the year is more gifts for others, however, we must not forget the true meaning of Christmas. This time of the year is a celebration of Jesus being born. When he arrived there were many that came from miles and miles to honor him with gifts. As we celebrate Christmas on today, let us not forget to celebrate Jesus, who was born as a gift to us to save us from our sins.
Don’t allow the holidays to stress you thinking of gifts for others. The Bible reminds us to love others unconditionally, let us not forget the best gift we can give to others is the gift of love. Remember the simple gifts that can be given, such as a kind and encouraging word, a short or long note of gratitude and love, or even sharing salvation with others. Each of these gifts are simple and free, they only cost you a little time. On this day, let us remember the true meaning of the season and don’t forget to honor Jesus on this day, as he is the reason for the season. Merry Christmas everyone! I hope on this day you’re able to enjoy your time with family and friends.
