Breaking Barriers

Moments of Doubt

Can I have a truth moment? After my recent interview (if you haven’t seen it yet, check it out here), I began to question if I was living my truth. It’s one thing to encourage others to do right, but it’s another thing to live it yourself (I told you all from the start, I’m not there yet, LOL). I had a conversation with a friend about my feelings, he reminded me that breaking barriers is not an arrival, but a continued journey and that I was speaking life (positivity). You won’t always get it right, you won’t always rise to the occasion, but you will continue to move forward and strive for excellence. Just as our life as a Christian, there is not a point of an arrival, but a continued journey. Along this journey, you learn about yourself, your strengths and weaknesses, proud moments, teaching moments, and insecurities.

In this moment of doubt, I recognized a few things:

1. Breaking Barriers is constant.

2. You won’t always want to Break Barriers – Do it Anyway

3. There is power in speaking your truth – Speak it, then move forward

I am reminded of a scripture, Philippians 3:14, “I press toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.” This is not the time to quit, keep pushing. I believe in you and so does God. #IBelieveGod
