Every weekday morning I get on a prayer call with some friends. Each person that calls in prays. The other day right before prayer I read the scripture (Zechariah 4:6) from a devotion I receive every morning. When I got on the call as the first person starts she reads the exact scripture (Zechariah 4:6). After prayer, I went back to read the complete devotion, which talked about God breathing in our direction and working things out on our behalf. Throughout the day, the scripture stayed in my heart along with a song which aligns with the scripture, “Your Spirit” by Tasha Cobb Leonard featuring Kierra Sheard. This was my reminder, I must allow the Holy Spirit to lead, guide, and direct me. In order for this to occur I must listen so that I can hear. I have to allow for times of being quiet and still, so I can hear him and hear him clearly. The same is true for you, you must listen to hear from him. He will guide us every step of the way if we allow him and He will give us insight of what to do and not do. So, how’s your listening?
We must remember that it is God’s spirit that allows us to do all things, just as the scripture says with God all things are possible. It is not your strength that will allow you to get through different experiences, but it is the power of His Spirit. So, keep listening! He’s talking and has direction for you and for me! #listen
