How are you doing in this pandemic? Are you staying encouraged? Are you anxious? Are you frustrated? I personally have had many of these feelings through these crazy times. I’ve felt feelings of anxiety, confusion, anger, worry, but also grateful and optimistic. While I’m not a fan of commuting to work, it has had some great benefits for me, including quiet time and time to think and meditate. Many of my blog post content come during my commutes. This shift has been something different for me, as I assume it has for you. I’m continually learning how to best tackle life in this “new normal.”
A few weeks ago, I had a thought of how I could help others through my blog. I had an idea to create a master class series. When the thought came initially, I wasn’t sure what it would look like or how I would go about doing it, but over time it began to come together. I’ve been feeling the push to do more through video and including people I know that others could benefit from their experience. I soon came up with the idea to do a four-week series to help people as we all navigate through this pandemic. The idea of the topics and speakers came and I began to tell people about my idea. The closer I got to it the more real it became and fear began to slide its way in. Thoughts came to mind like, who do you think you are, nobody is going to watch it, but I kept pushing to get it accomplished. One thing I know about myself is if I tell someone I’m going to do it, I’m committed to it. We all have to know what keeps us accountable so that we do not allow fear to get in the way. What works for you?
During this time, we have an opportunity to spend quiet time with God and get a clear understanding from him on what he would like for us to move forward with in this season. Someone shared the phrase, “producing through the pandemic” with me recently. It made me think of what God is requiring of me in this season and what I am required to produce during this time. The pandemic has afforded many of us a time to reset, refocus, and realign ourselves with God and our purpose. During this time, what will you produce? What fruit will be fulfilled through you? How will you be on the other side of this pandemic? God is looking for us to produce something during this time, don’t allow yourself to come out on the other side the same way and doing the same thing you’ve been doing before it all started. Its time for you to write that book, move forward with that idea, forgive that love one, give your life back to Christ. The time is now! #producingthroughthepandemic
